W9 - What is Success?

What is success? Everyone seems to think about it quite differently! Some people think that money or fame equals success, is there more to it than that?

Before Wednesday's chat watch these two videos to help inspire you!

Q1: What does success mean to you at the moment?

Q2: Share a photo or a link to some learning successes you have had this term.

Q3: What are the qualities you think a successful person possesses?

Q4: What are some barriers that prevent you from succeeding?

Q5: How does your family support you to be a successful learner?

Q6: Is success an accident/luck or choice?

Q7: What is the most successful thing you have achieved in your life so far?

Q8: What is one thing you are going to work on next term to ensure you have a successful term?

Is Sport Important?

Hi everyone

Lots to discuss in this week's chat. Looking forward to seeing your thoughts on Wednesday at 2pm.

Please remember to update your class' bio on Twitter - we like to connect with each other. This information helps us to see where you are from, and what year level you are. It's also really important that your teacher's Twitter handle is included on the bio.

Happy chatting!

Q1. Should playing in a sports team be compulsory for children at primary school?

Q2. Children often get hurt or injured playing sports. Should children be allowed to play risky contact sports when there is a risk of being hurt?

Q3. Professional sports stars are paid huge salaries to play their sport, far greater than a regular job.  What jobs do think should be paid as highly as sports stars and why?

Q4. In NZ we place a great deal of importance on our sports stars and people look up to them.  Do we do the same for our artists, readers, writers and why not?

Q5. What are the benefits of playing in a sports team?

Q6. If you could swap lives with any New Zealand sports person who and why?

Q7. If you could choose a New Zealand sportsperson to have breakfast with who would it be?

Q8. If you could invent a ‘team’ that wasn’t sport related what would it be and what would they compete in?

Q9. New Zealand has many successful athletes, who is your favourite athlete and why?
(If you add their Twitter handle into the tweet, you may even get a reply!)

Thanks
