Week 6 - Sharing your love of Writing

Kia ora Kidsedchatters,

Well recently I have been looking through all of our awesome Kidsedchatnz topics. It was inspirational looking at the great topics.  However, one thing struck me. Writing, we haven't had a chat dedicated just to writing in a wee while.

So this week we are chatting about your writing.  The work you produce either in class or at home.  I can't wait to hear and read about the brilliant writing that occurs in classrooms right across Aotearoa.

Before the chat watch the videos below. They are inspirational writers talking about their experiences when writing.

 Questions:

Q1: What is your class writing about at the moment?  What is your daily motivation?

Q2: What are your learning goals in writing at the moment?

Q3: How do you know when you have reached or met your writing goals?

Q4: What do you do when you are finding writing difficult? Are you able to solve it independently?

Q5: Do you agree with the quote from the first video "Inspiration is nonsense"?  Why or why not?

Q6: Share a piece of your writing.  This could be a doc, photo, or in a tweet.

Q7: What skills do you think a good writer needs to have?

Q8: What are your favourite topics to write about and why?

Q9: If you were to design a perfect writing lesson, what would it include and how would it motivate others?

Q7. Do you think it is important to share your learning with others? Why? Why not?

Q8. What are the benefits for you, as the learner, when you share your learning?

Q9. Share with us your most favourite app or online tool to share your learning. Why is it your favourite?
